CURL FOR THE GIRLS SET TO RAISE MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER

.

FEBRUARY 6 TO 8

.

The Tunnel Town Ladies Bonspiel Committee is once again dedicated to raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. What began in 2023 as an initiative to support breast cancer research and raise awareness has quickly grown into a valued tradition at the Tunnel Town Curling Club.

Recognizing an opportunity to make a difference, the Ladies Bonspiel Committee launched this fundraising initiative with tremendous enthusiasm. The committee aims to exceed last year’s donation total while ensuring participants enjoy an unforgettable experience built on friendship, camaraderie, and a shared love of curling. This event would not be possible without the dedication of our hardworking volunteers, the generosity of our members, and the support of community businesses—each playing a vital role in creating a truly exceptional atmosphere.

Held every February, the annual bonspiel is officially branded “Curl for the Girls.”  Each season, a creative theme is added to the event, making each edition unique and even more memorable for participants and supporters alike. This year’s theme is “Life is a Cabaret”.

Thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved, Curl for the Girls has raised close to $30,000 in just three years. These ongoing contributions continue to support breast cancer research and care, making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by this disease.

Our objective this year for the Curl for the Girls – Life is a Cabaret Bonspiel is to expand our donor base and help us reach our $10,000 fundraising goal.

Together, we can make a significant difference in the fight against breast cancer.
